Congratulations!
Again the Jeune Barreau is showing the way to all lawyers by continuing the "Mercredi, j'en parle à mon avocat" program. Congratulations!
Putting aside the altruistic reasons for such a program, and the true professionalism of permitting free access to a lawyer to the youth of our community, this is marketing genius for a profession that continues to be held in low esteem by much of the community.
Obviously a whole generation of young people are going to have the opportunity to think better of lawyers than the generation that proceeded them.
Given the fact that the Barreau de Montréal will benefit by this program instituted by the "Jeune Barreau", I hope you will not hesitate to request funds from the Barreau de Montréal for this wonderful program, if you require same.
I would presume that volunteers woulb be given a small honorarium to cover taxi fare, coffee, and perhaps a sandwich to encourage their participation.
As a long term member of the Vieux Barreau de Montréal, I am very proud of the excellent projets of the Jeune Barreau.
