The following is a non-exhaustive list of community legal organizations that may be able to meet your needs.

Clinique juridique du Barreau du Québec

The Legal Clinic of the Barreau du Québec contributes to accessibility to justice for the public while offering experiential learning to students at the École du Barreau. By offering free, simple and effective services, the Clinic is a practical gateway into the justice system.

Community Justice Centres

Community justice centres promote access to justice by fostering citizen participation through information, support and referral services provided as a complement to existing resources.

Clinique Droit de cité

The mission of the Clinique Droit de cité is to provide support to marginalized individuals to help them rectify their legal situation or defend their rights.

Mobile Legal Clinic

The Mobile Legal Clinic’s mission is to promote access to justice for the homeless, the impoverished and the marginalized members of our society.

Juste Clinic

Juste is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive legal services to persons, referred to us by our partners, who would not otherwise have access to a lawyer.

The Legal Collective

Through its four service points located in four different neighbourhoods (Mile End, Little Burgundy, Park Extension and Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie), the Legal Collective offers weekly free consultation sessions to individuals from the greater Montreal region. The law students and lawyers who volunteer at the Legal Collective provide legal information, advice and support in various legal fields.

Éducaloi

Éducaloi is a neutral and independent organization with a recognized expertise in legal education and clear legal communication. Its mission is to explain the law to Quebecers in everyday language and enhance their legal competencies.

Young Bar of Montreal

The Young Bar of Montreal offers free legal services to the public: hearing preparation assistance, call-in legal clinic, on-site small claims mediation, legal information service at the Montreal Municipal Court and LET’S TALK LAW service for 12- to 20-year-olds.

JuridiQC

JuridiQC provides reliable information tailored to your situation to help you understand your rights, take legal steps, and find resources.

Juripop

Offers legal services at a very modest cost to people who are refused legal aid, but who are unable to pay to defend their rights. Certain eligibility criteria apply.

Justice Pro Bono

Brings together volunteer lawyers to help people who are unable to pay to defend their rights. Certain conditions apply.

University legal clinics

Most law faculties in Quebec have in-house legal clinics that offer complimentary legal assistance to the public, facilitating students’ hands-on training and empowering them to deliver pro bono legal advice under the guidance of experienced lawyers and notaries.
